Great food, service, and atmosphere! All of the dishes we got were full of flavor and had a nice presentation. The beet dip and stuffed mushrooms were both delicious appetizers.
The lemonade came in a huge gin looking bottle which felt fancy.
The restaurant seemed small but it was a nice cozy vibe. Definitely recommend checking it out!
Was craving some good Georgian food and this place delivered: every single thing that we ordered was delicious either kharcho being the best order yet (all the right spices and flavors). Pork mtsvadi, meat khinkali, saperavi and kindzmarauli wines, baklava, honey cake and Turkish coffee - all was so tasty. We will definitely be back to try other dishes and wines!
Our first time dining here was a great experience. We made a reservation, but due to the busy night, they could not seat us right away. They made up for that the whole evening; our dessert was no charge, and when our dumplings came out a little late compared to our other dishes, we were given bonus dumplings. Attentive service, good communication, and delicious food. It is a small establishment with warm lighting and it is incredibly aromatic. You can smell the spices before you taste them. Great for date night or small get-together.
I spoke with my parents before the weekend, and they asked about my plans. "Georgian food," I said. Not sure if I meant the country or the state, I explained my presumption that there was only one kind despite never having had either (unless southern BBQ counts). Turns out, food from the former Soviet republic is as varied as the the two continents it bridges. Spice, pomegranate, meat, cheese, wine and more all blend together to take one on a virtual culinary trip to the far reaches of mediterranean and middle eastern cuisine. Certainly count DEDIKO among Vancouver's finest restaurants. Portlanders might even rethink their plans for a night out on the south side of the Columbia. It's worth the drive.
I went there for dinner. Great salad and delicious food. The size of portions are good enough, and the variety is great. It's a very busy restaurant, be sure to make a reservation way ahead of time. Street parking only.
I was really excited to go and try out this restaurant as I've heard great things about it but not going to lie, I'm disappointed. Dumplings came with no sauce, leaking water when cut and meat was clumped, cheese bread was just ok at best. Service was fine, ladies were nice, haven't seen whole restaurant as I was seated up front, so not sure if I liked vibes too much. Maybe I have not tried what I should but for me was not a restaurant I would recommend. Pricey too.
Absolutely loved this place, friendly staff, and the food was great! Loved the vibe and style inside as well. Flavourful and delicious food, ( i had the salmon dish). The pear Georgian soda was very good too. was here the other day and can’t wait to come back again on my next trip in Vancouver. Also their site states the no tip policy unless you really want to but they have a 20% service charge fee applied to the check, which does show on receipt. idk why some reviews say it doesn’t. Didn’t have to wait long to order food, and it came out at a decent standard time.
This is a can’t miss place. It was our first experience with Georgian cuisine and one of the best meals in recent memory. Don’t miss the beef soup (Khacho).
